There are situations when it is impossible or impossible to use a tripod. Every photographer takes pictures in difficult lighting conditions. Naturally, the lack of light has to be compensated either by increasing the ISO value, or by increasing the aperture, or by increasing the shutter speed. And if the proper result does not allow us to increase the ISO or increase the aperture? Then you will have to get out of the situation by applying a relatively long shutter speed. No tripod? We will give ourselves and the camera stability without a tripod.
Use any surface on which you can mount the camera.
To keep the camera and hands as still as possible, lean your back or shoulder against the wall.
When it is necessary to ensure better stability of the camera, you can also use wood, angle, resting the camera body against it with the end.
Your hands will help you reduce the movement as much as possible if you press them against your body and at the same time connect them at the elbows.
In general, it is very useful for a photographer to have the habit of shooting with his hands pressed against the body.
When shooting from the bottom, squat down and rest your elbows on your knee.
In addition to the above methods, which are quite predictable and may come to anyone's mind, there is another way that not everyone knows about. To do this, you will need to use the camera strap. You hold the camera in your right arm bent at the elbow, and place the belt over the elbow of the same arm, just above the bend line (whichever is more convenient). Then temporarily shift the camera to your left hand in order to wrap the strap from the elbow to the wrist from the outside. Next, transfer it back to your right hand.
Similarly, using this method, you can put a camera strap on your shoulder like a bag and pull on the strap, possibly helping with your other hand.
Thus, the tension of the strap from the camera to the arm or shoulder will provide additional stability and, by the way, the convenience of the photographer.
The only caveat. Girls may not be able to pull on a belt because their arms are not naturally as long as men's. In this case, just adjust the length of the belt. This can usually be done. For men, the belt fits over the arm without adjustments.
By the way, these two methods are generally convenient for keeping the camera from falling and are as reliable as the strap slung over the neck and perfectly give stability to the photographer + camera tandem without a tripod.
Create, dare! You will succeed!
